We've worked on a number of operational sites in the Northern Territory to facilitate transitional provisions from the Mining Management Act to the EP Act - Assessing cover design and long term performance, installing automated matric potential-moisture-climate data collection stations and using detailed LIDAR data, we've provided advice on how to optimise the design of waste management facilities for long lasting environmental outcomes to closure and beyond.
Legacy Environmental Management & Rehabilitation
Gold Mine, Indonesia
For a significant, legacy gold operation in Indonesia, we developed a site-wide Environmental Management Plan focused on watershed rehabilitation and legacy monitoring. Our approach integrated mapping compliance requirements to current site status, enabling multi-temporal change detection and spatial analytics to ensure the client is equipped to manage a range of diverse closure domains. This project demonstrates our ability to manage high-stakes environmental stewardship in sensitive, large-scale tropical ecosystems.
Development of Risk Based Criteria & Remediation Action Plans
Leadville Mine, NSW
Terra Tech Consulting engineered a Remedial Action Plan to address historical heavy metal migration at this legacy site in New South Wales. By conducting a high-level technical peer review of existing data, we developed a targeted mitigation strategy that reduced environmental risk and met stringent state regulatory standards. Our work focused on providing a cost-effective, technically rigorous path toward site stability.
